Any spare black mirror caps?

My car had chrome on it when I got it, and I would really love to avoid paying what MINI wants for some black ones. I am hoping someone here took off their black ones and they are sitting on a shelf in their garage.

Am I that lucky?

Wrap yours. That is what I did. It's tricky but you can do it.

Place a WTT in the Market. Maybe someone will want to trade for chrome.

I have a set of black ones off of an 08' Clubman S. I would consider sailing.

yes, powerfold and non-powerfold are different. They are not interchangeable.

I ended up wrapping mine. Im not 100% saatisfied with the results, as its hard to cover a round object with a flat object without any ripples. It will work for now.

You can certainly wrap them without wrinkles. Took me a couple tries but with the heat gun and patience I was successful. Have to stretch that wrap and pull it around the edges.

Oh I did plenty of stretching. I was using the wife's heat gun (aka hair dryer). I got to a point on the edge in a few places where it had been stretched so thin that it wanted to tear.

I didnt have nearly as much trouble wrapping my front grill and the trim piece above the license plate.
