Son bought 2002 mini with 76,000 miles, he drove the hell out of it for first two weeks about 2,000 miles worth and then 5th gear did not seem to engage all the way and finally stoped working after that,then reverse samething going on but will go if you roll the car. I looked it over with local shop ruled out cables or linkage I'm thinking we will tear it down and rebuild it looking for good kit. I have been through the threads on these sites and looking for any feedback.
