15inch on 2012 Cooper S (Spacers)

Posting this up for a friend of mine.

She has 15 inch mags on her Justa and wants to upgrade to a 2012 Cooper S

She has winter tires and rims purchased from MINI with the tire size 175/65/R15

Can she add spacers to help her? I was not aware that the calipers on the Justa and the S were different sizes. I thought if it fits one, it will fit the other.

Thanks for your help.

Kirk.

The calipers on the 2007 and up base is the same as the 2002-2006 s. What year base Mini does she own? What brand of 15 inch wheel and what offset are your wheels. Are they oem? What does " mag" mean. S calipers are definitely bigger than base mini's. Spacers may help but then depending on the thickness you may need need longer studs. More info is needed. Thanks.

Beware. The callipers are indeed the same on both cars, but the calliper mounting brackets are different, positioning the calliper further out from the hub to accommodate the S's larger disc.
