parting out car feelers

insurance totaled my 2008 cooper s, 45k miles. Looking at buying it from them and parting it out.

Whats an engine going for these a this mileage and is there a market?

How rare was the factory lsd option and is it worth anything?

Depends on how much they're going to give you for the car.

It's just an S, if it were a JCW, then it would be a different story. Factory LSD is a nice plus, but it'll net you maybe $500 or something. Good luck.

I understand its just an S, but figured there would be a market for a low mileage engine, given how many people have had problems with these engines.

Endings and transmissions, non LSD, seem to be going for $1500ish each on ebay...maybe more.
