Sanity Check: Drag DR-36 + 205/45ZR17 88W XL B
Sanity Check: Drag DR-36 + 205/45ZR17 88W XL B
Sorry if this kind of post is annoying, I've never bought wheels / tires, and the last time I had a shop replace a couple tires they put on a size that didn't match the rest of the car
I'm pretty sure, based on some research and tire calculators, that I'm ok here, but I just wanted to check with an actual person (who wasn't trying to sell me said tires/wheels). Does the following seem ok?
Car: 2008 Cooper Base Hardtop R56
Wheel: 17" Drag DR-36 17X7.54-100/11442GBL
Tires: Continental ExtremeContact DWS 205/45ZR17 88W XL B
I found this thread where someone did something very similar, but the tires were 10mm bigger, which probably doesn't matter. Also I've seen a few different serial numbers (?... the numbers+letters after the "/") on the DR-36 at various stores, not sure if that matters either.
I'm not sure how to use the tire/rim calculator on this site. The offset for these rims seems to be within the tolerance for my car based on some other things I've read, but will I need any special parts?
Thanks.

You should be fine.
It's
Drag DR-36 17X7.5" 4x100 bolt pattern, 42 offset
rim hubbore 73.1mm so you will need a centering ring to fit your MINI hubbore of 56.1mm
The centering ring fits inside the hub of the wheel and fits over the MINI hubcenter for a precise fit. Rough cost of centering rings is about $30 a set of four. You need to get these.
