retro fit mini connected in mini that has navigation?

Hi,
I just bought a 2008 mini cooper s with navigation installed. It does not have mini connected and I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for me to get mini connected? I understand this would be nearly impossible if the car was a non-navigation model, but having the navigation, how hard can it be? Is it just software update or the actual navigation system? Would installing a 2010/11+ navigation screen allow it to have connect? Any help or advice on how I could do this would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The infotainment system was completely updated when MINI Connected was introduced. Not only the screen but also all of the electronics. For example, navigation DVD maps were replaced by flash memory. In summary, MINI Connected is incompatible with your 2008 system and you would have to replace every electronic module. I doubt any dealer would even attempt it.
