i'm going to upgrade my r55s with decat downpipe an need feedback about these brands.
what about fitment? I wish to install it with stock exhaust and avoid welding and drilling.
what about build quality? weld seams etc?
reliability? Are they prone for cracking?
perfomance gains?

And you don't mention Akrapovic??? And you want to install with stock exhaust? Why? Kinda like DP-back exhausts... Why?

Have you thought about CNT Racing possible the cheapest option. Mine fitted well but I did have to grind the pre cat 02 sensor bung to get the sensor in, hopefully I was just unlucky and their not all like that.

yes, i've red a lot of positive reviews of cnt's dp, but it's not directly available in europe and i don't want to pay for overseas shipping of it. so i'm narrowed my search to items available in uk

 

The exhausts on our cars are very free flowing and large enough to flow as well as it needs to even when you start doing bolt on performance parts. Why would he spend the insane amount of money people ask for aftermarket exhausts on these cars, when there's minimal to no performance gain from it, and the downpipe alone is going to increase the volume plenty. If he doesn't want it really loud, I think he's doing it right. Replacing the most restrictive part of the exhaust that has PROVEN power gains, and not wasting his money on the DP-back that wont.

 

Evolve has been doing some posting here, and has a nice deal going on. Aren't they an option in the UK?

I just installed Way's decat dp and I really like it. The sound is subtle at low RPM's but sounds tough when you romp on it. And right now there's a group buy for it

 

Either one Evolve and Milltek is good choice. I am on Milltek now.

My exhaust setup is Milltek decat dp with stock JCW. Love the noise it produce and the power delivery is faster.

 

I got an Evolve Catless Downpipe for $274 brand new shipped from UK to California.
