Anybody know if the grilles for the (R56 2007+) MCS and the MC interchangeable? Specifically will the MC grille fit into the MCS?

 

If it were me, (and it was), I'd put in the JCW grill. Oh and no, the MC won't fit correctly.

 

If I'm correct, the grilles stopped being interchangeable in 2011 (there was a minor facelift then). When I had my 2010 R56 non-S, I switched to the JCW grille, so it should work in reverse too. It was a very simple swap and took about 15 minutes total. I agree with the comment above about going with the JCW grille.

 

Look at the OUTMOTORING site. They sell several grills and their explanations of what-fits-what may answer your question. There is apparently a change with the 2011 and newer models. On my '09 non S Cooper I swapped out the chrome slat with a JCW grill I got from them and It worked great. As such, I have the take-off chrome slat for '09 base cooper - but as I read the OUTMOTORING

 

OOPS, ... OUTMOTORING catalog it won't fit your S-cooper. If you decided it will fit and you want it - PM me and we can discuss.

 

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'm out of luck with this idea. Which was to replace the stock MCS grill with the slatted MC grill (painted black). This was a cool looking grill (IMO) in some earlier pre-2007+ MCS's.
