What should I price my MCS at?

I've decided to sell the MCS and upsize to something a little more spacious...hopefully a Countryman. The question is what should I price mine at. I have checked with KBB and NADA but i'm curious what you all think. Here are the specs:
2009 Cooper S
6 speed manual
68700 miles
Sport, Premium, Cold Packages
Rooster Red interior
MINI Blackline exterior trim rings
17" Breyton GTS-R's
NM lowering springs and Koni Yellow Adjustables
Boston Acoustic Pro 6.5 door speakers/Kicker 6x9 rears
All repair records
Oil changes every 5,000 miles
New clutch at 47,000 miles
Detroit tuning turbo oil feed line
JCW black grill surround and scuttles
MINI mud flaps

I think on a good day in Kentucky you would probably get $12,500 for it. I'd ask in the high $13k range. I would not advertise that it's had a clutch replaced at 47k miles as that indicates it could have been abused as it's not normal wear for a clutch even on our MINIs. Just my two cents.

I think that you have an attractive car with some nice mods on it. I think that you should post it on the market here for $15k. See if there is someone who can appreciate what you did with it. Be open to offers. I think it is rough to strip mods off of a car to turn it in to carmax.
I don't know if your dealer would be fair if you were trading for a CM or not.

Good luck,
Mike

Check local Craig's List listings to get an idea of what an un-modded MINI with your OEM spec is going for. Add $2K and hope someone is out there that will appreciate what you have done.

I also agree... don't mention the new clutch unless asked about it.

I think it will be easier to sell and "07 - '10 S if/when MINI comes through with the timing chain campaign.

Sounds like you are selling a sweet ride.

If it's any help, last month we picked up an '09 MINI S with 58,000 miles on it, 6 speed, checkered interior, comfort, sport, etc. Also has K&N Typhoon, Borla Exhaust, OZ Wheels with almost new Bridgestones and a 3 month/3000 mile warranty...dealer was asking $12,900.00...we paid less of course!

This is a very good point and if MINI/BMW is at all interested in the resale value of these cars from a marketing standpoint of selling new cars (who wants to buy a new car knowing that the resale sucks because of problems like this) they will come to their senses and address this defect.

Go to the Gen 2 Stock Problems/Issues Forum and look for posts with the title Cold Start Issue.

Don't freak out. You'll know it if you have this problem. I also think (no proof yet) that BMW/MINI is going to step up on this issue.

Yeah mine had the issue at about 30,000 miles and they replaced the entire assembly and its been good since. And yes I totally agree with not advertising that it has had the clutch replaced. It wasn't due to abuse though. I can assure you of that. I won't claim that I drive like a granny but i'm def not hard on the car. I'm a "spirited" driver. LOL

The market will probably pay 11-12K for yours.
