I took my Cooper in to get a new windshield this morning. . . according to the MINI warranty book, windshields are covered only in the case of faulty materials or workmanship. My service manager said this morning, though, that there had been so many windshield warranty claims that MINI is no longer covering them at all! I didn't press the point since, after further examination, it looks like my crack was caused by a small rock so it wouldn't be covered anyway. I was just wondering, though, if anybody else has heard this. . . doesn't seem like MINI could change the warranty in the middle of the game like that.

 

I have no clue about this situation. But I do know it is totally illegal to reverse a warranty for any reason. If you have it in writing the warranty, and can prove the damage coincides with the warranty... they must fullfill it or you can take them to court where you will easily win.
