R60 Countryman/Paceman Available Debadged
Countryman/Paceman Available Debadged
Yup. I suspect this was dealer outrage that caused this. I asked to have mine removed before I took delivery and the dealer indicated I wasn't the first to do so. A lot of people request it, and that is just labor that costs dealers money.
Interestingly, the package described in the Motoringfile article removes all rear badging as well as the All4 badge if equipped. So if you want the normal badging and just want the tramp stamp removed, that still has to be done post-delivery.
I don't think it means the Cooper/CooperS badging is gone. And of course, the oversized Mini logo will still be on the boot and the smaller one on the bonnet.
I guess we need clarification. This is how the article reads:

Starting with fall production both cars will be available with Option Code 320 (aka Stealth Mode) which debadges the cars. Debading means that all models loose all rear badging as well as the the All4 badge if equipped as such.
But it is specifically talking about the chrome lettering, and is also specific to the R60/61, which are the only models with such lettering.
Cooper/CooperS isn't going anywhere. I'd bet on it.

That's my interpretation of it. I happen to like the "COUNTRYMAN" lettering and added it to my 2012, but I do know that it it polarizing. Interestingly, this has apparently been available in Europe since the badging started. There, it's called "Model Designation Delete". It shows up in the UK configurator.
I would be inclined to agree with you, I just think the wording is odd. Seems strange that they would remove the All4 badge as well.
According to what I've read, it's called the "Stealth" package, and it deletes the "COUNTRYMAN" and "Cooper" from the boot hatch. It also deletes the All 4 badges from the doors.
