R50/53 Trailer hitch & rear fog light question
Trailer hitch & rear fog light question
I'd like to install a trailer hitch on my car but I don't want to loose the rear fog light.
Has anyone retrofit the fog light to fit into the receiver? If so, please explain.

If you go to the Mini Do More site there are photos. With the hitch draw bar installed the rear fog lamp is removed ( it is held in with clips) and the wiring/connector are tucked up out of the way. Just make sure the connector isn't laying on the exhaust. When the draw bar is removed you can re-install the fog lamp.
You may need to reposition the bumper cover bracket in the middle to prevent the fog lamp connector from contacting the receiver when the lamp is installed. This is what it looks like with the draw bar installed and the fog lamp installed on my '05 MCS.

Yes it's very easy. Just use this one here and select rear fog light option, that way it will allow you to put the fog light back in when not using the hitch.
