R61 JCW Suspension or not?
JCW Suspension or not?
Curious if anyone can confirm if the JCW Paceman comes with a JCW Suspension or if its like my Coupe was and come with either the standard or sport suspension. A lot of confusion seems to come about in this regard. Thanks for any insight you guys might have.
Ps. I checked real OEM and it looks like there are two types of suspension available (same as Countryman) but no idea if one if them is unique to the jCW or not. Ill say that the S and jCW models did have different strut part numbers.

That's what I've always known to be true but someone had me believing otherwise for the Paceman. Standard and Sport are included options but the JCW is an expensive one. I don't even know if the CM/PM have a JCW suspension option yet. I know it took about a year for the Coupe/Roadster to offer a JCW suspension. Personally I'd skip it and go aftermarket.
I'm still new to all this, but I think it is just Standard or Sport. I have seen no reference anywhere that shows a JCW Suspension...even for those with the JCW. I've been "studying" as much as possible. Heck, the '14 Paceman is the first year you could order the JCW Interior or Exterior without it being a JCW. It doesn't appear that MINI has JCW specific suspension just yet, or the brakes.
As far as I can tell your right. I just got back from my MINI dealership and my friend and I were looking it up online. Looks like there are only two suspension types according to part numbers. Standard and sport. Same for the Countryman. It also appears the JCW's, at least insofar as the Paceman is concerned come with the sport suspension as a default.
Oh and the JCW brake issue, ugh, I was pretty annoyed to find out they are just using painted S calipers for the PM/CM JCW's instead of dedicated big brake kits. They seem like good brakes but its a JCW for Heavens sake. They should be putting a little more effort into the badge in my opinion.
....hoping there's a way to fit the GP2 calipers on the Paceman!
