I bought the Sprint Booster for my Mini Cooper S with auto trans based on some of the reviews I have read on-line for installations on Mini's and other cars. I know some of you are going to roll your eyes, but it really does do what it claims. I know the car isn't faster but it certainly is more responsive. Throttle control is greatly improved in both the green street mode and red track mode. I wouldn't have bought if it wasn't for the great sale currently from a couple of different companies. When I put to car in Sport mode and flip the shifter to manual shift it is a blast to drive. The combination of sport mode with the quick throttle response gives a great driving experience. I paid $244 including shipping and it was well worth the fun factor.

 

It definitely is money well spent for the fun factor alone.

 

Could you please tell us who had it at the reduced price?

 

What's the difference in throttle response from using the Sport button? Just curious.

 

A lot of ppl knock the product, but it certainly is fun!
If you have a manual, red can be a bit too sensitive!

I have an auto so I tried it first in green and red mode without sport mode. There was a substantial difference on the feel of the car and accelerator response. When I tap in sport mode it is a huge difference. sport mode already makes the throttle a bit more sensitive but not as much as with the SB installed. I can tell you that now I use the red mode, put it in sport mode and slide the shifter into manual mode and I love the experience. What I enjoy is being able to upshift and allow the car to down shift on it's own when I drive in traffic. The default starts the car in 2nd gear which is plenty for regular driving. If you really want it to launch I manually downshift to 1st gear with the paddles. I love this car and it just makes it that much more enjoyable. Again, for the price it was worth it. I also installed a KN Typhoon CAI so now I also get the added thrill of hearing the pop off valve go off when driving.

 

Sfg57, you said after install SB your car pop sound out after gas off? Wow I got to buy it, even I add cobb stage 1 on my car, deresonator , demuffler sound pop out still not that much. ��

 

Newkid, I hope you didn't misunderstand me, the SB does not do anything regarding making the pop sound when decelerating. The KN Typhoon CAI is pretty loud so you can hear the pressure release from the turbo when you pull your foot off the accelerator. It made that noise before I installed the SB. Sorry if you misunderstood what I am saying. I've had the SB on the car now for almost a month now and I still love it. Certainly worth the money.
