squeak in rear shock tower brace/cargo blocking bar

Does anyone notice a metallic squeak coming from the infamous red bar? Mine seems to squeak more when it is cooler

I seem to have the same experience as well. But all I know is that it comes from the rear end of the car. I wasn't sure if it was the red bar, the rear shocks or even the wing though. :(

Yeah, it's a bit annoying but I only hear it when I'm going over a speed bump or the car is flexing turning up a driveway.

I just bought GP2-0333 and noticed the squeak as well. As we were driving along, I had my wife reach back and pull on the bar. Squeak stopped. She's not keen on traveling this way so I'll be looking for a more permenant fix real soon.

PS: I peeled off most of the stickers right away. Looks much better to me!

As soon as I pulled out of the dealership I noticed the rattling. I'm going to uninstall the crossbar and see if I can add some rubber washers. Not sure if that will do the trick but its worth a shot.

I'm curious to hear how this works for you. I think I'll try electrical tape.

Yesterday morning, I removed the red bar, wrapped the ends with electrical tape and reinstalled it. No more metallic squeak! I think it was the sides of the bar rubbing up against the mounting bracket.
