MINI COW Run to Saratoga Aug 24th Saturday

Edited to fix the map links.
====
I wanted to wait till Mini’s in the Mountains was done before posting this. Mini Coopers of Wyoming and N. Colorado (MiniCOW.org) is going to have a Mini run from Cheyenne to Saratoga and back.
We will meet Aug 24th Saturday at the Cheyenne McDonalds on I-80 at 0915 and leave at 0930. We will head to Saratoga via Happy Jack a 2.5hr drive. We are planning a stop near Lake Marie, and then lunch will be at a great restaurant in Hotel Wolf in Saratoga, we will then run back the north way using Hwy 287 and going through Rock River, Wy a 3hr drive.

If someone could make it a calendar entry for 5280, that would be great, as I can get a head count for the restaurant.

Here is the planned route:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...807bfa059f280b

Alternate URL: http://goo.gl/27qe8P

Notes:
*McDonalds on I-80 is next to the Flying J Truckstop. Just a few miles north of the Colorado/Wyoming boarder on the west side. You can grab something to eat and get gas here.
*Bring your FRS radios and tune to Channel 7 Sub 21.
*It will be 2.5 hours there and 3 hours back plus any stops.

Can you put this on the calendar, even though it is not a 5280 run?

I still need to get with NAM and setup a 5280 section.

I can and will in the morning, unless you do it yourself.

You have the ability to add to the calendar in the MINI5280 area, try it you will like it, just make sure you get the right day and change the default title that the software inserts for you.

There is another couple coming up from Denver.... I think... They have a 303 area code. I have sent them and you an email so maybe you can coordinate.

Don, I think we're going to have to pass on this one. After our long wedding weekend in Vail, the ideal of having one weekend of no big drives is appealing to Jenn and I. We're skipping the PCA drive, as well. Next time...or maybe 5280's got a shorter tour coming up?

Well, with 2.5 hrs to get to Laramie from my house and not communication from other Denver northies, I will have to pass too.

MINI goes into Schomp MINI for some work on Monday, best I keep the miles off it until after the work is done.

Have a great drive, take pictures, post them on FB or links to albums.
