Im so new...I've only owned my Base 2014 Countryman for 3 days....LOL

I bought a hitch for the car 4 days before I bought the car so I could go boating this weekend..

 

Congrats and welcome! The CM looks right at home with that boat in tow... how did she handle pulling it around?

 

Now that's how a CM should be used !!

I too am curious how well the motor/suspension handled the extra weight..

It tows this boat just fine...like it is not even back there...
The boat and trailer weigh about 700lbs total. Its a 1956 Feathercraft all aluminum boat. Its rare...but the perfect boat for a mini to tow. The boat is called a Vagabond.

 

Very Nice ...I have the same hitch...mainly to hang attachments, bike rack and other modifications, 5th wheel carrier and such.
Would love to pull a small camper (tear drop). Pretty sure it would never come in under a 1000lbs...not sure I'd want to pull much more with this particular hitch set-up. Awesome boat
