R50/53 Hood scoops? Anybody? Bueler?
Hood scoops? Anybody? Bueler?

I'm not sure if I just haven't looked hard enough, but it seems the only options available for an aftermarket, more aggressive looking hood scoop, are from M7.
Now, I'm not saying anything negative about their products. What I'm saying is, honestly, there's gotta be a decent hood scoop for the R53 out there that is less than $200. You'd think in the past 10 years something might have come up.
If not, somebody who is proficient with fiberglass/plastics, hell even aluminum... get on that please.
M7 is probably the only one you can still find, because exactly like you state it is old. There was years ago one by Palo Uber but they are gone. You might find one used if you keep an eye out.
There is another option, made by Voltage. Has a larger opening and
a more aggressive look. Fit and finish in my case was very good. All I did to it was a "pasti-dip" treatment and it was good to go. Down side, you will have to put out $220 for it and they are made to order. I ordered just before Christmas and waited 8 weeks for delivery, the holiday period probably accounted for a week or two delay.
Worth a look IMO, maybe they have some in stock. I also did the long search and only found M7 as an option to Voltage Products. Hope this helps, Ed.
