hey guys i was wondering if any of you have experienced what i've recently noticed. this is my wife's car so i rarely get to drive it.

the car is: 2010 - mini cooper auto with paddle shifters, with 40,000km's. still under factory warranty hopefully i wont have to bring it into the shop to have it diagnosed.

ok so this is whats happening..

in the morning, we start the car wait 5 seconds, and put it into drive and get on our way. at the top of first gear, a weird sound develops (sounds like a noisey fan kicking in) near the top of it's gear before it changes to second. and it does it again for 2nd gear....

this noise only occurs when the engine is cold. any idea what it is?
