So I have noticed on M7's site that they say the M7 Strut Tower Brace will not fit on the non S type Mini's. Is there anyone that can tell me more about what will not fit? Any mods one can do to make it fit? I am interested in something to help out with the top of the strut tower and this caught my eye as it has a brace in addition to strut tower plates. If there is anyone with a non S mini that has one, or anyone who knows why it would fit on an S but not non S please let me know. Thanks.

 

I've seen people put it on R50's and dent the hood, so buyer beware.

 

Did it occur to visit the M7 website? Way carries M7 products also. PM or email the vendors and get it from the horse's mouth. You don't say which but if you're running a 1st Gen then you really want to at least install the strut tower plates. While you're at it, visit the vendor directory and look at the neat MINI stuff they all have.

FWIW I believe the M7 brace hits the battery box. Yes you really need strut top defenders. First gen cars bend the strut tops far to easily.

 

Thanks for the replies. I was more wondering if it can be made to fit by modifying anything, but seems more trouble than its worth. I will just be getting the strut plates instead.
