BS Alert!

Here are photos of my Anthracite interior 2003 MINI with a build date of 9/27/02.

2003 Anthracite Interior thread with photos

Call the dealer and have them enter the code for anthracite. If they need help - have them call Chad, the sales manager at Midwestern MINI (Columbus, OH), because he was obviously capable of doing it.

Good Luck!

Dave don't be so quick (no pun intended) to make your comments.

When I placed my order the last week of September I did not request anthracite, my dealer called a few days later and offered it to me.

About a week and a half ago she called to tell me that anthracite was being halted in November. I really had no choice but to take Silver. There is at least one other person on this board that I know of that had the same thing being told to them, and they are in a different state using a different dealer

Maybe MINI is trying to offload all the Silver before offering Anthracite I don't know.

I have found similar posts about halting the anthracite on the sister board MINI2.

I am always willing to admit that I am wrong about this.

I did in fact get the anthracite and my MINI was built on September 22. The anthracite is really sharp, looks really dark in low light and sparkles in high light. Especailly looks great with dark interior, I got the space cloth.

P.S. Still setting in, I fell in love with that car immediately, my dealer said that he can put me in the system as a July order date so I could get it January.

Take the silver ..or what ever color they have ....
I just walked in from ...washing my car....
may i add...with my glasses on for a change....
I was ....amazed to see ...the incredible amount of small....yet noticible scratches...on the plastic pieces on the inside door panels....
This is not a good thing....
It seems ...eventually..we will ALL have to replace these plastic parts.... piece by piece.
There are scratches everywhere... and I'm a fanatic about...this car....so it's not from neglect I assure you.
Following this misguided logic...we will be able to change the interior.....to reflect our current...likes.
Again....
Take the silver ..or what ever color they have ....
They all look great....
For now at least.

Billyg,
I feel your frustration  because as d-mini-ero mentioned the silver seems to scratch easily. I have heard this complaint before elsewhere.

As with everything in life there are pluses and minuses. I heard bad things about the anthracite also. Rest assured that anthracite or silver our MINIs will ROCK

Don't let this bring you down.
