Recommend ODBII reader?
Since I've already got my iPhone mounted I am planning on going that route. You just want to ensure compatibility of the reader with the iPhone before purchasing. The cheapest ones available that use bluetooth won't connect to an iPhone without jail braking.
The Scanguage has a display included which will always make it a lil more expensive.
Might want to look into these:
- ELM compatible WiFi (OBDLink Wifi, PLX Kiwi Wifi, OBDKey WLAN)
- GoPoint GL1 (hardwired) or BT1 (Bluetooth)

Code Reader
Found an EQUUS/INNOVA 3030 on fleaBay for $25. Works fine with our R50.
May be missing features of more expensive units.
Came new but out of box and nothing but the reader.
Not a problem, just plug it in, write down the codes and then look up the codes on-line.
