so I have a 2008 MCS with the 10 speaker hifi system in it and god damn do I hate it...

I had a 2003 MCS with H/K and it blows this sky high out of the water

I have access to a 2010 MCS Harman Kardon amplifer..... it looks like I can just swap it out. Some people say I will have to re code it while others say it may just work straight away. My Mini dealer here doesn't know how to code it for me if it needs to be done, trust me. I asked.

What I read is that the H/K amp will work right away but there is some issue if it is not coded that makes the EQ all wonky, someone said there is way too much bass and the gongs are super loud

I just bought the front 6 Harman kardon speakers from MINI and will install them with the stock mini hifi amp and see if that is good enough

Another strange question, why does it seem like on my R56 when I am sitting in the drivers seat that the sound is coming more from the passenger side than the drivers? switching seats it sounds just fine.
