Factory JCW vs dealer jcw aero kit?

Is there a difference between the factory JCW aero kit that comes standard and the JCW aero kit available in the JCW accessories on the builder? When I select it I can't see any visual changes! Is it there by mistake?

The kits are the same. The accessory version is essentially an "aftermarket" kit for cars that didn't have it installed at the factory. Factory installation wasn't even available until a couple of years ago (all aerokit installations were done by the dealer or during delivery preparation). The accessory kit requires painting and installation (charged separately by the dealer), so the final cost is significantly more than factory installation.

Are there any factory JCW cars that don't come with the aero kit as standard?

Starting from 2012, all factory JCW cars have the aero kit as standard: http://www.motoringfile.com/2011/06/...l-jcw-minis-2/

Prior to 2012, no factory JCW cars had the aero kit as standard (except in some countries outside the US).

So why is it still offered in the jcw accessories? Is it a mistake or are MINI trying to make a quick buck on something that's standard?

I had a factory Aero kit and just took my Clubby to the dealer to get the front bumper replaced for the JCW Aero front bumper. They called last night to tell me they can't fit the JCW Aero front bumper because I have an Alta intercooler wich to me it makes no sense. Has anybody heard of any issues with the Alta Intercooler fitting under the JCW front bumper? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There may be some trimming required. You're more likely to get a solid answer if you post in the R56 section rather than the R60 section.
