Part Fitment with skid plate

I was wondering if the lower madness brace ( the one that looks like a trapezoid) would interfere with the kobalt skid plate. It's hard to visualize as I currently don't have the skid plate mounted.

Anyone out here currently have both these parts?

I had the TSW x-brace with the skid plate no interference. You'll be fine.

I have been looking at doing that myself. I have the skid plate and I think it will clear.

Mr. Jim, the madness brace site directly under the engine where the skid plate goes. It is much farther forward than the TSW one.

Well, I have had a set back with my skid plate. I broke two of the three clips that pinch the bumper to the support. Then the mount points under the car are fairly rusty (the cars life was always in Buffalo, NY) and I couldn't get the new bolts to go in correctly( stripped one like a fool) so I will have to think of some way to get the new bolts in there and find myself some of those factory clips.

Anyway, here's a pick of my plate.

Our TSW X brace will fit fine with the skid plate. I wouldn't even bother with the braces that only connect the control arm brackets or set forward on the subframe. Those braces do little to nothing in stiffening the car since the subframe is already stiff. That is why we like the TSW brace since it connects the middle open section of the car, and you will be able to tell it stiffens up the car.

anyone have any ideas to rid the mounts of rust from our cars? There is 4 "nuts" on the cars sub brace that have no bolts in them from the factory. this happens to be the mounting point for the skid plate. In a 9 year old car in WNY, you can imagine what they look like now. I couldn't even get a half turn in on the skid plate hardware. any suggestions?

WD-40 and a small wire brush to start, there is another product we use on boats here in the saltwater. They get pretty rusty also, the name escapes me right this second but ill find it and post back, it's amazing for what you need.
