How to get dealership stickering off

Hey everyone! I just bought a new MINI however, the "mini of san francisco" little black sticker lettering is still on the back. Anyone know what i can use to safely remove? Thanks!

If it is fresh and new, you can usually peel it off gently and slowly with no ill effects. Use some goo-gone to remove any residue. I don't advertise a dealer for free either.

I told my dealer if they stuck anything to the car at delivery I was going to flat out refuse to take it..

They listened.

But, stickers peel off fresh cars easy. Gently wash area to remove dirt and grit. Park in the sun, get it hot.. Peel away. Don't use a metal scraper.. The edge of a clean old credit card is good to get it started. Wd-40 works safely to get the left over goop off... As well as goo-gone or goof-off.

Just use an old-clean t-shirt or clean microfiber rag so nothing gets scratched.

Warm it with a hair dryer.

If you have to use a scraper, a little square bread bag clip makes a safe tool. (and spares your finger nails)

Go back and make the dealer take it off.

+1 for the hair dryer method. Some Goo-Gone should take care of any residue.

I made sure I talked to my dealer, and told them I did not want any dealership stickers on the car when I took delivery...it would save them the time and sticker, and save me the time of removing it. My Motoring Advisor responded that they never put their stickers on the cars they sell. So kudos to them. They will put their license plate frames on a car...but those are much quicker and easier to remedy.

I just quoted the dealership my usual $10,000 advertisement fee. No sticker here.

For those of us who would have a three + hour round trip to the dealer, it's good to know how to do it ourselves.

Actually the closest Mini dealer is a little over an hour and a half each way. I bought my car at an independent dealership which was a little further than that.

But you suggestion IS entertaining. I can just picture the various ways one could make a dealer remove a sticker from their car. A young Clint Eastwood comes to mind, looming over a quivering pasty-white salesmen in a suit down on his knees whimpering while rubbing the paint with a rag.

Is this what you had in mind?
