My MCS was due to arrive at the dealer this weekend and my obsession convinced me to go to the dealership just to see if it might have been dropped off. There were two covered trucks at the dealer and my MCS was on the second truck. I sat there in amazement and then got out of my car and watched the guy unload the BMW's and finally my MINI. I was able to snap a few photos, so that was really cool. And best of all, I have an appointment to take delivery later today!

It's really neat how they bring all the Minis' along with their brother BMWs'. It's hard to describe but it's not your standard car hauler. It's almost like a furniture size covered truck with this big A$$ covered trailer behind it.

I saw one of those trucks on a highway. It said transporting someone's baby! That was really cool.

Congrats SCoopFL! I'm glad your wait is finally over!!! Lots of luck with him/her!

Us Canucks miss out on all the fun!

No Owners Lounge (which I've been vocal about before) and now I hate to tell you but in Canada MINIs are hauled around on standard auto-carrier tractor trailers.

So much for "delivering somebody's baby". Not in Canada, eh?

Thanks greatgro. I can't believe how thrilled I am with my MCS. Still haven't named him/her, just keep using the term MINI, but always with great affection. I've purchased more expensive cars and been very excited, but nothing compares to the MINI. On the way home from the dealer Saturday we passed a black/black MINI and we all waived at each other. Yesterday (second day of motoring) we passed three other MINI's.

I'm afraid I feel a bit overprotective though. Two friends went with me to pick it up at the dealer and my MINI was sitting out front of the dealer and they had to keep people from touching it. Yesterday I had someone in a parking lot literally jump into the passenger seat before I could say anything or stop them. I've never experienced anything like this!

I will post photos later today or tomorrow, including the one of my MCS being backed off the auto carrier.

We call ours "MINI" also. I guess that's his name now. I kind of like it, actually.
