R60 Combo cradle for iPhone and GPS
Combo cradle for iPhone and GPS
My apologies if someone has already mentioned this in another thread but I felt the need to bring it up in case anyone was searching for a cradle that had the flexibility to hold either an iPhone 4 or a Garmin GPS unit (in particular a unit the size of a Garmin Nuvi 350). I remember when I first got my 2012 Countryman, I searched everywhere for a solution and finally found this little gem on Amazon:

I found the Panavise holder on Amazon and as soon as I saw that it came with an AMPS adapter, I knew it would fit the Pro-Clip base. I picked it up for about nine bucks (although it looks like the price has gone up by a few dollars):
It's attached to a Pro-Clip base which I'm sure many of you already know about: http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpa...ageid=1&dtype=
While I like the non-destructive Pro-Clip base mount, I didn't want an item specific mount because sometimes I use my iPhone 4 for navigation and other times I use the Garmin when I'm out in the middle of nowhere with limited phone reception. You have to be somewhat gentle with the Panavise but it seems like it'll last awhile as long as I take my time when opening or closing the holder.
I hope this helps anyone out there looking for a similar solution!
