Brakes Seem "touchy"

Howdy. I checked and I am thousands of miles from new brakes front and back. The fluid check reads fine. However... I have noticed that the braking seems a little more sensitive. It wants to grab if I crunch the brake pedal as in the past. Pedal feel is different. Braking isn't as smooth and I need a much more delicate touch to make it smooth. Any ideas?

Thanks.
JHB.

That's just the way the OEM pads are. If you want more modulation try a Carbotech Bobcat pad.

I am not sure what year your car is so I cannot comment on how old your fluid is, but if you checked it already and the condition is fine then that shouldn't be it. Also, has the car been sitting longer and getting more surface rust on them than normal? The first few stops after sitting in humid conditions will be different then when the rotors and pads are all cleaned up.
