Can someone either give me advice or point me in the direction of a thread that shows me how to remove the hood scoop and the trip piece on the trunk above the handle. I want to p-dip them black. Thank you.

Here is how to remove the trunk handle
1. Remove the 4 torx screws and it should be gently pry off as sometime they seem to stick. Then disconnect the plug for the lights and latch release. That's it.

 

Despite taking great care, when I replaced the scoop on my previous Mini i broke one of the clips off the scoop, as the retaining pin simply wouldn't come out of the bonnet.

Even with the scoop gone, it took a good few minutes with a pair of pliers to get the damn thing out the bonnet.
