R50/53 MINIs scarce in the southeast
My wife and I just completed a 1400 mile round trip from central NC to St. Pete FL. The thing that struck me most on the highways was the lack of MINIs. Here are the MINI sightings I made, and no, I didn't sleep while she drove.
Thurs 4/22 I-26 Central South Carolina LY/B Cooper
Thurs 4/22 I-95 Northern Georgia LY/B Cooper S
Friday 4/23 I-95 Southern Georgia CR/B Cooper
Friday 4/23 St Pete Florida IB/W Cooper
Sunday 4/25 I-95 in South Carolina BS/B Cooper S
Sunday 4/25 I-95 in South Carolina DS/B Cooper S
Sunday 4/25 I-26 Between 95 and Colombia SC THE Cat and Dog Cooper S
Sunday 4/25 I-26 10 miles behind Cat and Dog, DS/B with Anthracite rims.
Thats all MINIs I could spot in all that time and distance. I thought there would be more. But never fear, I foretell seeing over a hundred MINIs in just a few short days.

>>Our MINI's are that much more special here in the Southeast
Absolutely!
One of the things that turned me on to the MINI in the first place is that despite there being 2 dealers in the Atlanta metro area, I see relatively few driving around (and I live in one of the more upscale areas of ATL likely to attract MINI owners).
It kind of makes you a celebrity.... pretty much every time I stop for gas or am outside washing my car in the apartment complex I get someone stopping to talk to me about it.
