Geez, that's nuts. I'm sure it's awesome, but I'd honestly go for a M135i if I was in the UK.
Out of interest in that review they timed the cars around a circuit and a motorkhana, driven by professional racers. The GP,was the fastest car in both, significantly quicker than the m135. Both the professional racers preferred the driving dynamics of the GP.

interesting. I'd still choose the M135 because more practical than garage queen GP2.

If you want "trophy chicks" to look at ya ( if that's a purchase concern ) then get the BMW....
If you want a pure driving machine which is also a catalyst for striking up conversations from complete strangers/motoring enthusiasts' in every parking lot, gas station and roadway you travel...then get the GP2.
BMW is just not as much of a "social car" as the MINI.......
- For those GP2 owners out there, how many of you guys kept the stock MINI Kumho's and what are your opinions of those tires so far now that you have a few thousand miles on them ???

I kept the Kumo's but have a set of summer performance tires on most of the time. Put the Kumo's on to take it to the dragon, they were fantastic until the 300+ miles driving home in heavy rain. Hydroplaning several times and only doing 60 on the interstate was not fun. Glad I kept them, but will be only running them at select times.
