Size of front sway bar bushings

Sorry for a double post, but no answers yet in the suspension threads, hoping to get more attention here...

Anyway, hopefully soon, ill be upgrading some of my suspension. in doing so, figured id put in poly bushings for the front sway bar.

whats confusing is the various sizes available for the front sway bar...

on Way motor works, they say the R53 needs 24mm bushings.

on ebay, i see many other sizes of the same brand, powerflex: 24mm, 22.5mm, 16mm...

getting confused! please assist! Tia!

24mm is front swat bar on the R53. 22.5mm is the front on R50. Rear sway bar on R53 bar is 17mm and R50 rear is 16mm

Thanks Bram!

So, with regards to these bushings, anyone ever use other brands other than powerflex?
For example, This brand: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171010872609

These are like, half the cost of powerflex... And I have a suspicion, this brand has just been hyped up, so the prices go up with the hype.... Or am I totally wrong?

I read some good reviews on the web. So I say go for it. I think Pelican parts sells them or used too.

Cool. May just do that.
Too bad it's such a pita to put them on! Hours of work for a 20$ part :(

Suspension upgrades are Pricey!... That's what keeps scaring me away from them.
It's like I have to buy everything at once, have it all ready, and talk the dealer into some sort of deal to do these upgrades, or else I'd blow all my $$ doing each piece individually.

It's fairly daunting at this point.

Have you thought about doing it yourself? Get a Bentley manual and some wrenches and go for it.

Ya, thought about it... But after looking at the process, I'm really not enthused about dropping the subframe, specially since I Don't have a lift, or really Good tools, Or a Bentley manual, or another car to drive if / when I need parts or tools, and since a mni dealer is 2 hours away when I screw up! Lol.

I can do mods ok, but stuff like this, I just feel way more comfortable paying to have it done correctly the first time with a warranty on the work. I mean, it IS a mini , and something Always goes wrong, and it's Always difficult to do the work :P

All good answers. Keep us posted after you do the work and how the Armstrong bushing work out for you.

Ordered the Armstrong bushings.

Also looking at this kit: http://www.waymotorworks.com/powerfl...ll-joints.html

Found it in another forum. Guess if they're gonna have half the car in pieces, might as well upgrade all I can.

I've seen that poly bushing for the PS rack or whatever, but someone said they had it installed and felt 0 difference. Any advice? Worth spending Another $26+ on it?

I have not seen many do it because just like you said you heard. But again totaaly up to you. If I had everything apart I would do it whether I could feel it or not, just because I wont have to worry about replacing them again.
