Just saw a new Countryman at the dealership...

It had "Countryman" spelled across the boot lid like the Paceman has "Paceman" spelled across it. I did a double take to make sure that it was a Countryman and it had the 4 doors. I was a completely loaded JCW so I don't know if that exclusive to those models or if it's a new change across the board...

Anyone else seen this? My 2013 CMS All4 looks like the others with just the Cooper S on the rear deck lid, so it would seem weird that they would make a change like that in mid year when they started the 2013 builds back in 11/2012...

I just ordered my Countryman a few weeks ago and asked my MA about it. She confirmed that it was a midyear change and that the dealership is offering to remove the lettering for those customers who do not want it on their boot lid. I guess not everyone is happy about the change. I will definitely have the lettering removed. Hoping it comes off cleanly!

I just called the dealership and having the letters put on. At first I didn't know if I would like it, but it's grown on me now...

If you have stripes getting it removed is more complicated since you have split left when they are taken off.

I'm going to be doing the same thing. Mine is going to be due for an oil change in a couple of weeks. When it goes in, I'm going to ask them to add the letters. I actually like the look.
