Was my timing chain replaced/fixed?

Hey, I got my service records from my MA for my CPO 2011 CM ALL4 S and I saw this:

"Repair History (Claims)
16,125
0011990200
M11 05 12, Check chain tensioner leak"

Does that first item mean they actually fixed the timing chain under the service bulletin they put out? Or do you think it is literally what it says, checking for leaks?
Sorry about the formatting :(
Thanks and Cheers!

I can't tell from that. You could try posting this question under the "Stock problems/issues" section of this forum.

Also, find your mechanic and politely, but firmly ask if the timing chain is the original or a full replacement.

PS: To me, it sounds like they took out the chain and replaced it but I could be wrong.

It doesn't look like the chain was replaced. If so, many gaskets, i.e. head, intake, exhaust, etc would all be listed in repair.
It sounds like you had a leak coming from the hole that the ball tensioner goes into, which pushes against the long fiber type rail which tightens the cam chain.
A much simplier fix than replacement.

I just pulled up my service records from the time my timing chain was replaced under warranty, and the list of replaced items is VERY long, but includes the following key entries:

11-31-7-***-*** Bunch of bolts, gaskets *** [N/C]
11-31-7-568-241 Guide Rail: 113056 [N/C]
11-31-4-609-483 Chain Tensioner: 113050 [N/C]
11-21-7-588-996 Sprocket: 113035 [N/C]
11-31-7-516-088 Timing Chain [N/C]
11-31-7-546-697 Slide Rail [N/C]
11-31-7-534-833 Chain Tensioner [N/C]
11-31-7-507-432 Gasket Ring [N/C]

In other words, I don't know what they did for you, but it wasn't a timing chain replacement.

Sorry,
a
