Interior rear window trim & rear/3rd brake

Hello, today I went to a few places to get estimates on rust removal on two small areas that showed up in the past few weeks.

It was brought to my attention that I was missing a piece of interior trim on the hatch door (It is a used 2003 mini cooper that I got last fall). It is the top piece only that is close to the door hinges. Does anyone know where I might find a piece like this?

The second thing that was pointed out to me was how loose the 3rd brake/rear brake sits in it's compartment. It works fine, but I wondered if anyone knew what piece I am missing that would make it snug. I'm even wondering if the whole thing is supposed to be sealed up where you could not even touch it because there is all kinds of dust and dirt on it and around it.

Anyway, I appreciate any help or suggestions you may have!

Here is a diagram for the interior trim for the rear hatch:

#3 trim section above the glass near the hing is the piece you are talking about?

Here is the rear top brake light in the stock red lens. You can see thing unit and compare this to what you have to see if something internal broke.

Here is also the Clear Version of the unit with Red LEDs.

On the third bake light it screw in whit three screws, possible the screw housing is stripped, screw it loose, or the lens in damaged.

Thanks and hop that helps.

ECSTuning thank you so much. Yes, in the diagram the #3 trim section is the exact piece I am missing. Thanks, too, for the explanation of how to remove the third brake and some ideas of what might be wrong.

You helped me with another piece of internal trim a few weeks ago that my mechanic had discovered was glued on. It was on the passeger door and it was a figure 8 shaped piece that went arouind the speaker and the door handle. I ordered it from ECSTuning and it was perfect. Thank you so much.
