Caliper covers

Hey all I' ve been looking for some red brake caliper cover but the ones I see are very expensive. There's the MPG which are about 200 bucks and the fake Brembo covers which I'M not a fan of the dummy bleed nipple etc. so does anyone know where I can get a decent caliper cover? Even a no brand one as long as fake nipples aren't installed.

Why do you want brake caliper covers? For looks? Better to paint the OEM calipers with caliper paint (heat tolerant).

I would paint them, covers just look too poser for me. I used Duplicolor on mine but if I were to do it again, I would give the G2 product a try. If you are totally committed to covers I think you can get them at the same place where you buy those dummy cell phone antenna mounts from the 90's.

Duplicolor is good.. I decided to powder coat which became WAY expensive. Trust me, paint. Covers are lame.

I say no to covers. I see no purpose to the MGP covers at all. I personally am on the fence about event painting the calipers. I might eventually do mine but it me it is even a hair poser-ish. This is in no way an insult of those who have chosen to do theirs. I like the cool pop of color there, but I just never want to look like I am trying to me more than I know I am (ie: pretend I have JCW brakes when I know I don't).

Covers could also retain heat. Brakes like to cool.

^^^ Ding ding ding. Alex is the winner. Caliper covers are one dumb idea. Hot brakes fail.

I currently have them painted, and wanted to know my options since they got so dirty but update I changed the oem brakes to red ebc and I've been seeing way less, if any dust. I didn't know they couldn't tolerate the heat so thanks for all of the advice, I will have them painted again. PS really not going for a poser look.

Thanks for the link! By the way I purchased the wheels you recommend a few month back :D. And I'm just going to paint them.

So I currently have orange paint on the calipers and I want to change the color should I use paint thinner? Or apply another coat over it?
