JCW Leap of faith
Leap of faith
about to order RACE CHIP ULTIMATE,I read all the blogs watched all the videos searched it out on different forums and decided to make the leap and buy one, Im still kinda apprehensive I know chips have gotten a bad wrap and the majority justifiably so but the race chip seems to be the real deal I checked out the German web site where there made and watched the video, top notch operation typically German well made. The gains are impressive, I own a 2013 JCW Coup with a manual trans, factory dyno tests were +34hp and 41ft/ibs ATW (autoes didn't do as well) easy install easily removed when its service time. Ill keep you guys posted on how well (or not) it performs.

Good luck with it and keep us posted. I'm currently running the AP, and it's been great. I've had my eyes on this as well. What I really want to see are some Dynos.

Sorry guys for the delay been a bit busy...So I got the Race chip a few days ago plug and play easy install took about 10 minuets, driving around town in traffic not much to report, switch to sports mode and hit the gas WOW you really notice the improvement in power and torque as you go through the gears , I never red line my car, when I hit fourth gear before I knew it I was hitting 80+mph...I wish I had more technical data to throw out there I will get it dynode at some point when I have the time. One of the things I like best about it is come service time its so easy to uninstall, and the car resets to the factory default settings. Speak to Scott at Minidynamics he can tell you a lot more about the technical side than I can. or check out http://www.minidynamics.com/RaceChip...p-ultimate.htm
Why don't you redline the car? It's not Bad for it... In your case, prolly Good for it, to help keep the engine internals clean!
The ecu won't let you "hurt" the engine... At least that's what mini keeps saying.
