My R60 completed production on 4/11 and has spent the last 2-3 weeks at the port waiting on a ship. Today, I was playing around with a VIN decoder website and entered my VIN. It came back and said that my car has a manual transmission even though I ordered an automatic. I wanted a stickshift, but my wife over ruled me.
Anyway, if its true, then I'm going to have an even longer wait while a new one with an automatic gets built. I left a voicemail for my MA today, but I haven't heard back from her yet.
Dealers all have "production slots" that are sort of like placeholder cars. They are spec-ed out a certain way, and when someone orders a car, one of the production slots is changed. For example, when I ordered my '06 R50 Checkmate (which was Space Blue with a Silver roof), the car showed up as a silver car at first. Is it possible that the production slot used for your car originally had a manual trans and the spec just wasn't updated yet?
I just ran my VIN through the decoder. I ordered manual but according to the decoder I am getting an automatic. My car is also at the port and does not show automatic option on the summary provided in the owners club.
Just the other day I asked my MA for the production # so I could track my CM (thanks to this list, I knew about this). He returned the number and mentioned not to pay attention to the options that showed up, that my changes/order did go through and the car will be correctly built.

I was told the same thing, but that was in reference to the first few days that the order was in the Owner's Lounge. After the first week, the OL was correct...minus the auto. It wasn't listed there, but I didn't think about it because I thought it would be included in model # or something like that.
dont believe what u see on the Owner's Lounge. when i ordered my CM none of the options on the web are correct beside the VIN # when i picked up my car everything is same as i ordered...
As your MA said, do not pay too much attention to that. My order had a similar issue but the car came as expected (online said a silver base model but the true blue CMS I ordered showed up)
General Observation: People who make these statements, more often than not, have neither.
Here's another general observation: People that have no sense of humor don't know what to do with either. But you're right on one count. I'll let you guess which.

More important than transmission, did you check which version of the flat load floor MINI will bless you with??
Sorry, could not resist.
Now that's funny! Actually, I got the FLF thrown in for free. I was first told by my MA that the FLF was standard on all 2013s. When I ordered, they listed it with all of the other options for $250...but I brought the email where they said it was standard and made them include it at no charge.
I ordered bench seats and FLF option and it was there early on and is now gone. I am worried. Not as big a deal as transmission. At least you can buy the pars and add it.
The owner's lounge on my girlfriend's countryman also didn't show all the options correctly. I would trust what your MA says about your configuration... hopefully your MA gets back to you.
