Mcs brake setup question (going rate)
Mcs brake setup question (going rate)
Hey all.
Just curious to know what's the going rate of the MCS brake setup.
I have less than 5k miles on the and might be looking to sell. I hear these are a good upgrade for the 1st gen.
I will be upgrading soon
Thanks
Rad

If you only have 5K miles on the car, it is highly unlikely that you need new brake pads or rotors (unless those were 5K track miles).
But if you do, in the worse case you would be looking at:
front rotors: $60+ x 2
front pads: $75+ for front axle set
rear rotors: $40+ x 2
rear pads: $65+ for rear axle set
labor: 2 hours at <insert local labor rate, or $100/hour, or free if you DIY>
== ~$350 for DIY effort.
You can spend more on higher end parts, depending on your intended application. But the above should be perfectly representative of an OEM replacement street car use-case.
Again, and 5K miles, you should not need to do anything.
HTH,
alex
P.S.: I am not quoting brake pad wear sensors as I don't see how you need them at 5K miles. Add another $30 / axle if you do.
