Like the title says. Not super impressed. The metal on the ends seems flimsy, it doesn't seem like it feels as snug as it could.
Think some heavy duty rubber between the gaps would help at all?

Just thinking, anything that has ANY squirm or flex will defeat the purpose of the brace. I would say metal spacers or washer...no rubber...rubber can compress allowing movement...all connections MUST be solid...unless you just want the "look".
Did you adjust the pre-load properly?
Are the strut towers mushroomed?
Any reason you went with OMP when there are plenty of more robust braces? Not to mention the actual JCW brace?
As Zippy said - is this for looks or for real?
If for real, what are you experiencing on the track that makes you believe a strut brace would improve your time or feel?

Yeah, the front of the MINI is pretty stiff as it is. My four point rollbar helped. I'd see if you can return it, and if you're really interested in stiffening up the chassis, maybe an under body brace.
But it begs the question, what are you using it for? If it's for the track, it'll help. If it's for the street, it's really not going to be doing anything for you.
