Renntech ECU and Akrapovic DP and Exhaust

Hello,

First of all, I wasn't sure if this needed to be posted here or in the "modifications" area so please forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong location.

I have a 2013 MCS and have been reading (with great interest) the debate regarding the JCW tuning kit and various aftermarket options. I am considering the Renntech solution as it appears to be the most stable of all ECU tuning options. I am very concerned about sending my ECU to Florida however.

How many of you have this tune in your Mini? Renntech claims they have performed over 150 N18 tunes without any complaints. Of those who have had this done, how has it performed? Any issues such as CEL's and such? Have you had any issues with your dealer and warranty work? Have you found the combination of the Renntech and Akrapovic to be a good one?

Thank you in advance for any, and all, assistance.

RennTech, PAW, and NM are all viable options. If you have a manual then all three are good. If you have an automatic then RennTech and PAW are good options, both have similar power put down so you know. No one on here that I've heard having either NM(manual transmissions), and RennTech have any issues. If you're worried about your warranty then I'd stay away and look at the new RaceChip they brought to America for the MINI's. Easy plug and play and it adapts to your mods. The CEL will be on regardless for your DP but you won't get a CEL with a tune. But since you have that DP, I'm sure you lost a bit of low end grunt, once you get the tune you will gain more power back.

Check the link Theta sent you.
