Hi, all. I sort of posted this subject on the other thread I thought I got an answer, then I got more confused again. Problem:
Auto - when you put your car to "Park" then you shut off the engine and everything. Whether you lock or not lock after closed the doors. Would that "P" next to the shift **** stay on Red for long time? I noticed too, as soon as you open the door, the "P', "Push start button" and the "Window button" would light up. then after you close the door, the "Push start button and the window button" would go away in about 30 sec. But the "P" would stay on for at least 30 mins or more before it goes off. Is that normal?

It's normal. Having completely dismantled my shifter assembly (long story), I can assure you that the light stays on 24/7. It's actually a very small, red LED. It draws so little power it's no concern whatsoever.
