I need to route my radar detector in my roadster. the A pillar system is WAY different from my R55 Clubbie.

and the gap is tiny so I cant just shove the wire in either......

 

Toward the top of the pillars are circles with "Airbag" in them. Those are covers that hide T25(I think) torx bolts. Pop off the caps and then remove the bolts. Be careful when removing them, as there is an airbag inside, and I think they also have small straps that hold them in place, so they don't fly off if an airbag goes off.

 

sorry mate. that is the way it is on r55/56 but not on r59.

there is no circles with airbag on them. In addition the a pillar does not have an airbag in them.....

 

Tuck the wire in. I did that in my Coupe and it wasn't a problem at all. The cable is behind there somewhere and invisible.

 

Yep. that is what I did.... it was SUPER tight. painfully tight.
But yep that worked.

 

If you are messing around anywhere the airbags, make sure you disconnet your negative battery terminal so you do not set the airbag off.
