A/C blower fan speed???

I have a 2003 mcs when I bought the car the A/C compressor did not work. I had the A/C fixed but now when the fan for the A/C comes on the blower does not blow as hard with out the fan on. It feels like the blower is not getting enough power. The blower seems like it cycles back to full blast when the fan goes off. The battery is fairly new looking. This is my first Mini I was wondering if this is normal? I belive the battery was disconected when the A/C work was done. Would this have any thing to do with this? If not any input would be helpful.

Does the blower speed fluctuate when it's on Auto Climate setting? Does it fluctuate when you push the + button to manually turn the blower on Hi?

I don't have the answer, just curious.

By the way, it's a good practice to disconnect the battery when working on any electrical part of the car.

Drove it more today seems like it mostly does it when it gets to lower rpms either in auto or manual. In the manual mode the fan speed changes fine and the a/c work good.

You might be hearing an rpm changed based upon the change based upon the voltage change from a weak alternator....
Imo not a big deal....have had quite a few high mile cars that did this, and even some lower mile cars....if you want to be more sure, check the volts at idle, load, and no load, and at high idle....
on auto the fan speed will/can varry based upon the ambent temps and light intensity....see that little bump on the dash in the middle...it is a sensor for the auto climate system.
in all honestly, i'd just live with it till when/if it becomes an issue someday!!

Thanks for the reply. I was not planning on fixing it until it completly quit. Just wondering if it was a normal for the mini this is my first one. So far love the car very fun. Need to be a little faster I was use to the power of my Hayabusa that I just sold.
