P1497...misses from take off.

Have had constant issue with CEL on code P1497. Was told it was most probably crack in the vale cover. Couldn't find vac leak anywhere, but ordered and repl'd v/cover. Came back 2 days later, same issue, same code. Driving me crazy and I can walk that far!! Any help greatly appriciated.

P1497 - Downstream Throttle Air Leak
Check all the worm clamps that are downstream of the compressor outlet of the turbo all the way to the throttle body. These are the metal clamps that hold all the hoses. Don't forget the hose clamp that is near the front radiator shroud and is very hard to get to.

You might need a walnut blasting as well to help clear this up.

Second gen MCS? If so, have you ever had a timing chain replaced?
