Hi

The circular connector in my mini has some oil like residuce in it, is that normal or should I clean it out. Not my car but it points out what connector I am talking about. How do I go about cleaning this connector?

It shouldn't have oil in it, unless someone put contact connector oil in it to prevent corrosion.

 

So how do I go about cleaning it out?

 

easiest thing is to spray it out with brake clean or an electrical connector cleaner
