I have a really odd issue with the transmission warning indicator light- yellow gear icon with an exclamation in the center. I have read numerous posts related to this indicator light and the cause, BUT all of them are for automatic transmissions. My Mini is a 6 speed manual and this warning light is set and appears every time the car is started. There are no driving issues whatsoever, and I can find absolutely no references to manual transmissions having any sensors that could set this code (371). Any ideas would be welcome- especially if they do not include taking the car to the dealer...
