Front sway with 19mm rear?

How well does the h-sport front sway pair with a 19mm rear?

I'm doing a clutch soon and figured a new front bar and stiffening up the rear would be a nice bump in turn-in.

I just don't want to have a front bar turn into wanting to buy a new 22mm rear bar too.

Thanks,
Jonathan

We don't track but do love hitting the twisties with everything we got. Last summer KONI FSD struts and a 19 MM rear bar (have it set on the stiffest position) was added and holy corners batman! Anything above and beyond stock on the undercarraige will add smiles to the miles.

If you plan to autocross(hardcore) or track(hardcore). Other than that NO. You don't need it for autocross and track, though some are pretty hardcore drivers(not daily drivers).

Well i got the front bar.

I'm having a clutch installed so the extra work to install the front bar is tiny, ill update after its done.

I say no, especially for auto-x and track. I use a MINI One front bar in my race car. it is even smaller than the Cooper.

I said you DON'T need it. But some hardcore people do use it for the front.

I keep trying to figure out why folks want to increase the size of the front bar. Bean has it right...Reduce the dia. of the front and/or increase the dia. in the rear to increase oversteer (i.e., reduce understeer.)

I installed shorter more progressive bump stops (slower lower spring rate ramp when on the bump stops) that further decreased understeer, the h-sport is a mild upgrade in stiffness (16 and 26% increase) and will hopefully improve turn-in and further reduce body roll. I also have a torsen front diff going in and my impression is that the stiffer front bar also helps to complement the torque biasing differential. I can understand the adversion the a stiffer front when installed alone due the labor but when doing it while the sub frame is already out the cost is minimal. If it doesn't work out I'll trim a few more mm from the front bumper stops to reduce the front spring rate ramp and then add a larger bar (22mm) if needed.

Larger front bars do serve a purpose but just blindly adding one without understanding what they do and how they work and the large amount of labor is why most don't. I mainly wanted better turn in and with my supporting mods the car should be neutral with many a bit of oversteer.

Usually because they don't understand what anti-roll bars do and figure another (relatively cheap) part from the catalog will make them faster.
