R50/53 How much would it take for you to "extend the wait?"
Without explaining the licensing details in Kentucky, I can save ~$400 if I don't take delivery of my MINI until JAN 1 or later. The sad thing is that it was built October 16th and is currently awaiting transport. That means I should get it in NOV. Is it worth $400 to not get my MINI for another 1-2 months? Any other creative solutions would be appreciated (e.g., dealer let's me take it for a 1-2 month "test drive" in exchange for me putting some extras on it that I otherwise would not purchase).
OK, a 10X15 self storage unit around here runs about $150 a month. You could hide it in one of those. But then again you'd only save $100 so TAKE THE MINI!
Sorry, I still have a four month wait. TAKE THE MINI!

Is this thread a joke??? Take the MINI!
You know, you MIGHT be able to wait a year or so and save $1000 due to supply and demand. Would it be worth it? Heck no!

Oops! Forgot to answer your question! How much would it take for me to "extend the wait?" Let's put it this way. If someone offered to buy my MINI I MIGHT sell it...for $100,000. And that's a MIGHT. Even though I could turn around and use part of that money to order another MINI I wouldn't want to wait a few more months not driving my MINI just for a $75,000 profit!!!
Does THAT answer your question?????????????????????

I used to live in Western Kentucky, and I don't recall that we even had license plates...or was that shoes?
(sorry, no offense intended...just couldn't resist).
Take the car! Aren't the licensing fees you're talking about actually state/local taxes, and as such, deductable from your federal returns?
